Pilates at Physiophix
Pilates classes at Physiophix consist of individualised studio sessions. In a small group of up to 3 clients, you will be guided through your personal exercise program by Alana and Tina, our Pilates qualified Physiotherapist or Rebekah, our Pilates instructor. Equipment used will include the reformer, cadillac trapeze table, split pedal stability chair and spine corrector. Classes are suitable for acute and chronic back injuries and rehabilitation following surgery and sporting/work injuries.

A reformer is a piece of equipment that has a movable bed (carriage) that utilises springs for resistance. A number of exercises can be performed for all parts of the body. It utilises light resistance allowing you to become more aware of your body. In doing so, exercises are performed more effectively with good movement patterns that facilitate the activation of your core muscles. It is ideal for both acute and chronic conditions.
- It is a safety requirement at Physiophix that all participants wear a pair of non-slip socks during the reformer classes. These can be purchased from the clinic.
