John is the founder and Director of Physiophix. He is a highly experienced physiotherapist and enjoys treating acute and chronic neck and back, shoulder pain and work-related injuries. John uses a wide variety of treatment techniques including Dry Needling Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques. Kinesio Taping, Myofascial Releases, Mulligans, McKenzie, Pilates and much more.
John is the current Physiotherapist for the Central Coast Rugby Union side and is highly experienced in treating various sporting and workplace injuries.
John works at both clinics from Monday to Friday.
Senior Physiotherapist (Warnervale)
Rhys has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries with an interest in persistent pain problems and dizziness.
He has a background in strength and conditioning and skills coaching within alpine ski racing. He also has experience in working with sporting teams including the Central Coast Mariners.
Rhys is a passionate mountain biker and surfer and enjoys treating injuries associated with these sports as he has an intimate knowledge of their physical demands.
Tina is our newest team member to Physiophix. She works from Tuesday to Friday and rotates between both our Warnervale and Toukley clinics. Tina has gained a wide variety of experience since graduating from LaTrobe University in 2010. Tina has worked across a wide variety of hospital settings and has a special interest in Pilates. Tina is a big believer in exercise and movement based therapy, especially for athletes returning to sport. When Tina isn't at work, she is out mountain bike riding, surfing and camping.
Josh is our ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and works at both the Toukley and Warnervale clinics from Monday to Thursday. Josh graduated from Newcastle University in 2011 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, following this he completed a Masters in Exercise Physiology from Charles Sturt University in 2014.
Josh assesses and prescribes exercise programs for people with complex and chronic conditions including: -
- Cardiac and respiratory disease
- Parkinson's Disease
- Workplace rehabilitation
Josh is passionate about introducing people to exercises that they previously thought would be impossible to do.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys playing soccer.
